When I Think of Child Development

“Children's talent to endure stems from their ignorance of alternatives.”

This quote reminds me that children even in the worst of situations survive and some by demonstrating the power of resiliency.

If a child is given love, he becomes loving ... If he's helped when he needs help, he becomes helpful. And if he has been truly valued at home ... he grows up secure enough to look beyond himself to the welfare of others.
DR. JOYCE BROTHERS

This quote reminds me of the importance of teaching children to be empathetic towards others, as they will continue to share this quality as adults.

  1. The quote by Dr. Joyce Brothers reminds us all to model for our children what we wish for them to become. What you say, the way you act, the love you show all determines who they become. It is something that we should take very seriously as children today grow up in a different world than when we were kids. Thanks for sharing such a powerful quote.

Also, thank you for sharing your knowledge of early childhood with our group over the last eight weeks. I have gained wonderful insight into an important field that is very special to me. Good luck with your future career.

  2. Leone,
Thank you for your support throughout the course and for sharing your ideas on early childhood development. It has been a long and exhausting eight weeks, but we have managed to get things done. We have shown our resilience (Lol), and I look forward to journeying with you with the same resilience throughout the next course.
    Thanks
